General Terms & Conditions
The General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as "GTC") apply to all purchase orders placed by customers on www.marudesign.ch website, operated by Maru Design GmbH.
The following GTC apply exclusively at the time of the customer placing the order. Maru Design GmbH reserves the right to change the GTC.
The customer and Maru Design GmbH enter into a binding contract upon the customer placing an order and accepting GTC by ticking the relevant box. By placing an order on our website, the customer warrants that they are legally capable of entering into a binding contract, are at least 18 years of age and agree to the following terms and conditions.
All orders placed by the customer are confirmed by e-mail and subject to the GTC.
Maru Design GmbH reserves the right not to deliver the order in the event that the inventory level shown on the website was incorrect at the time of the order. In such a case, the customer will be contacted by Maru Design to find an alternative solution (e.g. find a suitable replacement or cancel the order).
All prices indicated on our website are in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include VAT of 7.7%.
Methods of payment
All orders are payable immediately. We accept the following means of payment: PostFinance, credit cards (Visa, Master Card), PayPal and TWINT.
Maru Design GmbH offers free shipping in Switzerland and Liechtenstein as of CHF 50. International orders are subject to a flat shipping fee of CHF 35.
All orders will be processed within 1-2 working days and delivered by Swiss Post within 2-3 working days for standard delivery, 2-3 weeks for standard+ delivery and 4-5 weeks for extended delivery, as indicated at time of order. For international orders, an additional week or more may be required for delivery (depending COVID restrictions, current local post office workload, etc)
The reason for variation in delivery periods is due to some items being custom made by the designers and shipping from its country of origin in Europe. We thank you for your patience and understanding!
Upon purchasing a product, you will receive an confirmation email with an invoice attached. Kindly note that we will not include a paper copy of the invoice with your order to reduce our carbon footprint. If you nevertheless wish to receive a paper copy of the invoice, please inform us at [email protected] and we will make sure to ship it with your order.
Exchanges & returns
All exchanges and returns of ordered products must be arranged by contacting [email protected] within 14 (fourteen) days. In case the customer has not made any contact to return or exchange the goods within 14 days, Maru Design GmbH reserves the right not to accept a returned product. All returned products must be in their original condition and original packaging. A refund or an exchange is provided when Maru Design GmbH determines that all terms are fulfilled.
Returned shipments lost during shipping will not be refunded.
Kindly note that items that are customized as per the customer's instructions (e.g. monogrammed) will not be refunded.
Computer screen settings may cause some color variation. All product images used on our website are for illustrative purposes only and not binding.
Maru Design GmbH respects its customers' privacy. All data collected and saved is exclusively used for the purpose of processing the customer's order. Such data is not shared with any third parties, except for the processing of your order, e.g. parcel delivery services, payment processors etc.
Maru Design GmbH has the right to assert force majeure, in any warlike event or war, pandemic, government sanction, strike, natural disaster or similar events. This may result in Maru Design GmbH not fulfilling the contract, either in part of fully. Should this unlikely event occur, the customer will be notified.
This contract is governed exclusively by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction is Zürich.
